Founding lawyer, PhD. Arcadia Hinescu, member of the Bucharest Bar, has over 20 years of experience in the legal field. Arcadia began her career at one of the multinational firms comprising the “Big Four” and for over 9 years practiced at a prominent international business law firm, predominantly serving French clientele. Arcadia has assisted numerous national and international companies, as well as associations and foundations, in complex transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, litigation representation, and consultancy in civil law, commercial law, tax law, intellectual property law, and their day-to-day operations. Arcadia received a PhD in Commercial Law from the Faculty of Law at the University of Bucharest in December 2014. She is also the author of three books published by Hamangiu Publishing House: “Merger and Division of Companies – Annotated Practice” (2015), “Merger of Companies” (2016), “Associations and Foundations – Annotated Practice” (2018), and several articles in the field of law. Additionally, Arcadia has been a speaker at numerous conferences organized by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Romania and the Romanian-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, and has served on the Board of Directors of several associations.
Arcadia taught Corporate Governance for Public Enterprises in the postgraduate courses of the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (2018-2023), and since 2020 is Trainer in civil law and procedural law at the Institute for Training and Enhancement of Lawyers (INPPA), and since 2022 in commercial law.
Arcadia supports her clients’ projects with passion. Among her heartfelt professional projects was the establishment of a European Cooperative Society, of which she became a founding member and provided legal assistance for its ongoing activities and special projects. This involvement has made her part of Romania’s largest and most active community in renewable energy. Additionally, Arcadia has been involved in the establishment and operation of the first Romanian non-bank financial institution focused on providing credit to social enterprises, broadly defined to include all legal entities regardless of their form of operation.
Arcadia is a passionate art lover and art collector, being a member of the Romanian Society of Art Collectors and participating at art events, including with papers and presentations related to the art and art collection.
